Job Purpose :

The Licensed Engineer (Avionics) is responsible for the performance of preventative and reactive aircraft maintenance safely and efficiently in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

Duties and Responsibilities :

Inspecting and performing maintenance on aircraft instruments, electronic components and various other parts of the aircraft
Certifying and releasing aircraft in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies
Conducting diagnosis and repairs on aircraft and aircraft components in accordance with OEM and regulatory guidelines
Maintaining records, logs and other required paperwork
Other tasks as assigned from time-to-time by the Head of Engineering

Qualifications :

Minimum :	Valid ICAO Engineering License (B2 or equivalent)
Preferred :	Valid ICAO Engineering License (B2 or equivalent) with current ERJ-145 type rating

Experience :

Minimum :	At least 12 months hands-on experience working with commercial aircraft
Preferred :	At least 5 years hands-on experience working with ERJ-145 or other Embraer aircraft

Skills :

MUST have adequate English proficiency (spoken and written)

MUST be extremely conversant with modern technology

MUST be comfortable working with tablet computers, smartphones and other cutting edge devices

MUST be able to work with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures

MUST demonstrate a high level of initiative and independence

MUST be flexible and able to work under pressure

MUST possess good leadership skills

MUST be physically able to lift moderate weights and work under demanding physical conditions

Other :

A valid passport is required. Work permits for Ghana can be arranged for qualified applicants. Applicants must be able to provide full references for all positions held (including periods of unemployment) in the last 5 years.

Permanent and fixed-term contract positions are available.
